Biography
SÆYGN – Simone Di Giulio is a modern singer with roots in opera. His passion for music has led him to create a musical project and an inner journey, offering unique emotions and deep connections.
With a powerful and compelling voice, Simone captures the heart of his audience.
There are voices born like echoes—ancient yet modern—voices that do not seek glory but exist in order to leave a message, a sign.
The voice and soul of SAEYGN – Simone Di Giulio belong to this kind of voice: it is not just a project, not something engineered or crafted at a desk, but a destiny that crosses inner eras and takes shape through his singing, leaving something meaningful in the world.
His story doesn’t begin on a stage, but in the very first days of his life: in nature, in silence, in the wind, in the sea and in the voices of his grandparents singing melodies, opera arias and songs like an ancestral call.
At five years old, while other children sing nursery rhymes, Simone sings “Nessun dorma” from Puccini’s Turandot. It is his first concrete revelation.
His family has always supported him without hesitation: they are the silent roots that have carried him through every step.
His musical studies first take him to Rome, to the International Academy of Music A.I.D.M., and then to the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia—the historic temple of music—where his voice becomes a bridge, a language, a journey.
He studies under legendary masters and expands his vocal identity beyond boundaries.
His career ignites early:
Auditorium Parco della Musica, the O2 in Dublin, Belfast, China, the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing.
Destiny then leads him into an unexpected world: the International Circus Festival with Duo Viro, a meeting point between music and magic.
Then come Rai 1, 24milaVoci, and the encounter with Gloria Gaynor, with whom he had the privilege of singing.
Intense years follow: concerts with Maestro Rolando Nicolosi, operas and musicals (La Bohème, Tosca, Wojtyla Generation), major debuts at the Puccini Festival, Teatro del Giglio, Spoleto, Tenerife, Treviso and Expo Milano.
His voice takes on roles such as Luigi in Il Tabarro, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Rodolfo in La Bohème, Manrico in Il Trovatore and Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, traveling with music across Italy and the world.
A luminous chapter opens in the East: a tour in Japan with La Bohème for the 150th anniversary of Italy–Japan relations, culminating at Tokyo’s Bunka Kaikan alongside Carmela Remigio.
This is followed by Madama Butterfly in Torre del Lago, the Golden Hall in Riga and a double recognition from Mirella Freni in Modena, with debuts at Teatro Pavarotti.
Then comes the call from China:
Suzhou, Shanghai Symphony Hall, the NCPA in Beijing, Nanjing, national television appearances.
He even sings in Chinese, giving voice to Mò Lì Huā, the melody from which Puccini drew inspiration for “Nessun dorma” from Turandot—an aria deeply meaningful to Simone.
His voice also contributes to the world of Italian Dubbed Disney: Beauty and the Beast, Frozen and Mickey Mouse… a return to the enchantment of childhood.
Concerts follow at the Italian Embassy in Istanbul, celebrations for Italy’s Unification, new tours in China and the Nanning International Folk Song Arts Festival, aired live on YOUKU and local TV, where he represents Italy before millions of viewers.
Then, just as Chile, Serbia, Siberia, more of Asia and Japan were on the horizon, the world stops:
Covid-19 arrives—a shadow that interrupts the global journey.
Yet Simone does not fall—he transforms.
He joins the Sistine Chapel Choir, living an unexpected yet profound experience during a time when the entire world breathes in stillness. During this period, he understands, he reflects and new visions open.
After a silence that lasts a few years, a new chapter begins: first, he lends his voice to the film Temps Nouveaux by François Caillat and Cristina Comencini, with music by composer Carlo Crivelli.
Then, at last, comes his fullest expression—the place where he can express himself exactly as he wishes, where what he has always desired above all else becomes possible.
After completing his metamorphosis, he finally brings to life the project of his truest and deepest essence:
SAEYGN – Simone Di Giulio and the song “She Is My Salvation.”
A free, boundless path where his voice returns to what it has always been: a journey, a destiny, a sign.
With this project, Simone frees himself from every fixed concept, from every parameter dictated by musical genres, weaving together a mix of sounds, musical colors, vocal shades and timbral nuances that transcend every boundary.
He moves through classical technique, slips into the power of rock, embraces pop, and travels across different styles, allowing even a slightly gothic imprint to emerge—a dark, subtle tone that enriches and expands his artistic universe.
He explores worlds with no limits, no barriers, no predetermined rules.
This begins with this first song, but it will also shape the direction of the next ones: a vision, a mindset, a continuous journey.
Simone will keep exploring through his eyes, his voice and his soul—pushing further each time, diving into new genres, new contaminations, blending everything that ignites him and resonates within him on a vibrational, emotional and musical level.
